How to Grow Sunflowers from Seed:

• When to Plant: Sow directly outdoors after the last frost, once the soil warms to 60°F (16°C) or higher.
• Soil & Sun: Choose a full-sun location with well-drained soil.
• Spacing: Sow seeds 12–18 inches apart; taller types may need staking for support.
• Watering: Keep soil evenly moist until seedlings establish; then water moderately once a week.
• Bloom Time: Expect blooms from mid-summer through early fall, depending on variety and region.

Harvest & Use:
Enjoy a continuous parade of blooms in your garden or harvest for bouquets, pollinator habitats, or wildlife feeding. As the season ends, allow flower heads to dry on the stalk—birds will flock to enjoy the seeds, or you can save them for replanting next year.
